Casalguidi Italian Embroidery

Course dates: 28 April 2014 - 02 May 2014

Learn this little known 19th century Italian technique by making a pin cushion or small bag. Traditionally a white on white embroidery, it has areas of raised stem band and needlelace flowers on a pulled fabric background.

Beaded Necklaces and Bracelets

Course dates: 28 April 2014 - 01 May 2014

Create beautiful beadwork necklaces and bracelets using just a needle, thread and beads. A technique called ‘tubular netting’ will be used. This makes lovely ropes of beadwork with lots of scope for varying pattern and texture. Beginners to beadwork are welcome, but students need to be comfortable with small-scale work and be prepared to work with tiny beads.
